What is ISOKINETICS

What is ISOKINETICS?

It's simply a new form of exercising that encompasses the techniques from each of the recognised exercise groups into a modern training system ISOKINETICS.

When training each exercise movement is slow and precise akin to Tia Chi, taking only 4 seconds to complete without the need for warming up; there are no jerks, impact, strain or pain, regardless of your age or level of fitness.

ISOMETRIC

Isometrics, or static resistance training, refers to a muscular action during which no change in the length of the muscle takes place.

This type of resistance training is normally performed against an immovable object such as a wall, a barbell, or a weight machine loaded beyond an individuals maximal concentric strength.

What is an Isometric exercise

Simply put - an isometric exercise is one which uses a force against a resistant object.

An isometric movement is a movement in which no movement occurs. An example is holding a weight in a semi-contracted and motionless state for a period of time. Another example is pushing on an immoveable object for a given period of time.
